Fringe Finance’s roadmap involves a as of June 2023. These versions’ key components are:

Fringe Finance v1 (live):

and Borrowing, a non-custodial, permissionless DeFi lending facility, decentralized money market that enables users to lend and borrow various crypto assets. It provides more accessible lending and borrowing options for both well-known and lesser-known assets.

To note - Fringe V1 is being deprecated in favour of Fringe V2.

Fringe Finance v2 (live):

features the addition of , as well as the of Fringe to four new chains. It also features , atomic loan repayments, support for LP tokens as collateral, dynamic targeting utilization rates for capital optimization and multisig support for DAOs.

The new added facilities are the following:

(), a facility that enables users to take leveraged positions on various asset pairs, offering more trading options and flexibility. Users can choose their base or "quote" asset, select the amount of margin they want to add to the trade and gain exposure according to the direction they believe the market will take.

(), a trading facility that allows users to magnify their exposure to a specific asset by taking a leveraged long position. By using loan-to-value ratios, traders can multiply their exposure and amplify potential gains, while being aware of the associated risks.

Fringe Finance's release of V2 introduces key enhancements to its DeFi lending and trading platform, centering on a new price to protect against market price manipulation and ensure more reliable pricing. The updated platform also includes a partial liquidation model, reducing costs and market impact on borrowers during liquidations. Additionally, it launches spot margin trading facilities, offering reduced price impacts for traders taking leveraged positions. These updates collectively aim to reduce costs, expand the platform's utility, and increase safety for all users. Other key differentiators include support for 150+ assets across five chains, multisig wallet support, a capital-efficient interest rate model and atomic repayments and LP token collateral support. Fringe V2 represents a commitment to improving the DeFi ecosystem, providing robust, cost-efficient, and secure solutions for a diverse range of users.

Fringe Finance V3 (2024):

introduces pooled collateral whereby borrowers can take loans against their pool of collateral to minimize the risk of liquidations in the event of any single collateral asset's volatility.

: A fully decentralized solution to mint stablecoins using a wide basket of altcoin collaterals in a lending-based system.
